7 Week Puppy Update

The puppies are now 7 weeks old and are exploring the world around them with endless curiosity. If they can sniff it, carry it, chew it, or rip it apart, they are determined to investigate it! The "teenage" stage has officially arrived, but thankfully this phase doesn't last long.

This week they enjoyed watching a little more TV, and it's amazing how attentive they have become. When you speak to them or look at them, they look right back at you as if to say, "What's up?" Their little personalities are blossoming more every day, and each puppy is becoming wonderfully unique.

💕 Ms. Oara (Pink) Oara is an attention seeker in the sweetest, funniest way. I can easily picture this little girl becoming a dock diving superstar or excelling in obedience. She truly wants to please and is always eager to engage with her people.

🖤 Mr. Blade (Black) Blade is simply a sweetheart. He has a calm, easygoing nature but never turns down the chance to join the puppy pile for a good wrestling match and some fun with his siblings.

💙 Mr. Hudson (Blue) Hudson inherited those beautiful curls from both of his grandfathers. He's often the first one to capture your attention. Ask him, "Where's your belly?" and he'll happily roll onto his back. He has the classic loving Golden Retriever personality, and I can picture him greeting everyone he meets, capturing hearts wherever he goes.

🩵 Mr. Preston (Baby Blue) Everyone who meets Preston is immediately drawn in by his dreamy eyes. The moment you pick him up, he melts into your arms. He loves giving kisses and cuddles, yet he's also happy to be right in the middle of the excitement, setting the tone for the party.

🤍 Ms. Ergy (White) Ergy is becoming one of the stunning beauties of the litter. Those expressive eyes are simply captivating. She has a calm, gentle nature, and I can easily imagine her curled up on the couch with her family, enjoying every quiet moment together.

🤎 Mr. Rowan (Brown) Rowan is a quiet, confident little boy. While his siblings are busy creating puppy chaos, Rowan is usually relaxing and taking it all in. He carries himself with a quiet confidence that's hard not to admire.

❤️ Mr. Rigger (Red) Rigger is simply a "wow" puppy. His looks, temperament, and endless kisses make him incredibly special. He's the kind of dog who will love his family wholeheartedly and make friends with everyone he meets.

💚 Ms. Coxey (Green) At first, I thought "Trouble" should be her middle name! The moment your eyes meet hers, she convinces you it's time to play. She's full of personality and charm and is truly Ms. Congeniality, making friends with everyone around her.

🧡 Ms. Henley (Orange) Henley is the complete package. She has just the right amount of spunk balanced with a wonderfully calm, loving nature. She's affectionate, confident, and has all the qualities that make for a wonderful lifelong companion.

This week we filled up the baby swimming pool and gave swimming a try! Some puppies jumped right in, while others needed a little encouragement, but everyone had fun exploring something new.

We also spent much more time outside enjoying the fresh air. After a good play session filled with zoomies, wrestling, and exploring, it didn't take long before everyone was ready for a well-earned nap.

The puppies are also learning to walk on a leash and are beginning to stack for their evaluations. It's amazing to watch them gain confidence and start to understand what we're asking of them.

One of our favorite new routines happens each morning. As my daughter heads off to rowing practice, one lucky puppy gets to come along for their first car ride. They are all doing wonderfully in the car, although our mornings are taking a little longer these days. The rowing crew can't resist stopping to meet and socialize with the "puppy of the day," giving each little one another positive experience meeting new people.

Watching these nine little personalities grow has been such a joy. In just one more week, they'll begin heading off to their forever families, taking with them the love, confidence, and wonderful start that Rhea has given them. It's hard to believe how quickly these past seven weeks have flown by, and we're so excited to watch each of them begin their own new adventure.
