Rhea & Shaker Pups 3 Weeks

The littles are now three weeks old and are growing not only in size but in personality too!

One of the most amazing changes has been how attentive they are to sounds. One morning, I had my phone beside the whelping box when my alarm went off, it's a gentle music melody. I woke up to all the puppies sitting there, staring at my phone singing right along with it.

They've become much more mobile and are moving around with confidence, so we've officially graduated from the puppy room to the family room. Here they'll experience all the everyday sounds of a busy home—the vacuum, television, doorbell, and, of course, our family's lively conversations. These early experiences are an important part of helping them grow into confident, well-adjusted puppies.

They're also loving their solid food! Mealtime is a favourite, although it's hard work being a growing puppy. More than once we've found sleepy little puppies resting right in the food dish after just a few minutes of eating.

The puppies are becoming much more interactive with one another, and playtime has officially begun. Watching their little open-mouth wrestling matches and playful antics is absolutely adorable, and it's so much fun to see their unique personalities starting to shine through.
